A Lawrence resident has won $1 million from a Massachusetts State Lottery fast ticket game.
The Massachusetts State Lottery reported that Ruben Rosario of Lawrence had won the $1 million prize in the “$4,000,000 In The Money” fast ticket game.
Rosario picked the cash option for the win and received a lump sum payment of $650,000 before taxes, according to lottery authorities. He informed the lottery that he intended to save and invest his earnings.
The winning ticket was purchased at Ted’s Stateline Mobil, 551 Broadway, Methuen. The Massachusetts State Lottery will pay the merchant a $10,000 bonus.
The “$4,000,000 In The Money” game is part of the Massachusetts State Lottery’s instant scratch ticket lineup, with various top prizes available to players around the state.
