A pair of Palm Bay women were arrested for stealing $26 worth of food and clothing from Walmart.
Around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, a deputy responded to Walmart, located at 550 U.S. Hwy. 27, Clermont, for a retail theft investigation, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. Asset protection reported that 20-year-old Nakaiya Mae Phang and Naari Maelynn Phang had unscanned things.
According to the report, surveillance footage showed the two passing the final point of sale with stolen products worth $26.64. The items included Friendly’s Strawberry Krunch ice cream cake singles, Disney Mickey and Minnie ladies’ lounge trousers, and a can of Red Bull Amber Edition strawberry apricot energy drink.
The New York residents were arrested for retail theft and brought into the Lake County Jail. Nakaiya’s bond was set at $2,500, while Naari’s bond at $500.
