A Macclenny man was detained for trespassing after he was seen lurking outside a Circle K in Leesburg.
Officers arrived to Circle K, situated at 900 S 14th St., at approximately 3:05 a.m. Wednesday to investigate a suspicious person, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. They were told that Capri Zaquan Ortiz, 33, was lurking on the property.
Upon arrival, one officer spoke with the caller while the others approached Ortiz outside the establishment. The caller stated that he had seen Ortiz on the property and recognized him from a previous encounter. The report stated that he had already been trespassing.
A law enforcement database search revealed Ortiz had trespassed on the premises on March 21. He was eventually apprehended, according to the article.
Ortiz was charged with trespass after a warning and put into the Lake County Jail with a $1,000 bond.
He was previously arrested in May for breaking into Walgreens and stealing a Starbucks Frappuccino.
