Fulton, Missouri, man faces assault charge after firing gun, hitting victim in arm

A man from Fulton, Missouri, was taken into custody on Monday after firing a gun and hitting another person in the arm.

The Ralls County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to a shooting call around 8:27 p.m. on Highway 19 near Highway Y, close to Perry.

Police said that when deputies arrived, they found that 24-year-old Dylan O’Brien of Fulton had fired a gun inside a vehicle while riding as a passenger, hitting another passenger in the arm.

Police said the victim was taken to a hospital in Columbia, Missouri, for treatment.

O’Brien was arrested and booked into the Marion County Jail.

O’Brien faces a charge of second-degree assault, with bond set at $250,000 cash only.
