An Ohio man is now a cautionary tale: Do not throw away your lottery tickets.
According to an Ohio Lottery press release, a man in Willard, Ohio, accidentally threw away his Bingo 25 Times 25 Scratch-Off Ticket.
To get it, he had to dumpster dive after the rubbish had already been removed.
In the end, it was worthwhile because the ticket won $100,000. The winning ticket was purchased from the Circle K on 413 Walton St. in Willard.
According to the Ohio Lottery, he will earn $73,250 due to the statutory 26.75% tax withholding.
The Ohio Lottery revealed that Bingo Times 25 is a $5 Ohio Lottery Scratch-Off that offers the chance to win up to $100,000.
There are still more prizes available, according to the Ohio Lottery.
