There is no more touching way to spend a large state lottery jackpot than how one Massachusetts man is using his winnings.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, George Zakhary of Bellingham has won a $1 million prize in the “$4,000,000 Bonus Bucks” $10 quick ticket game.
Zakhary chose the cash option for his reward, receiving a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). He intends to spend the proceeds on his mother’s retirement.
The winning ticket was purchased at Hotshot, 60 South Street, Wrentham. The retailer receives a bonus of $10,000 for selling this ticket. 4,000,000 Bonus Bucks has one $4,000,000 prize and two $1,000,000 prizes left.
