A shooting in Pittsburgh’s Homewood area early Monday morning injured two women and caused damage to several parked vehicles.
Around 2:15 a.m., Pittsburgh Bureau of Police Zone 5 officers arrived to the area in the 7000 block of Idlewild Street after receiving two ShotSpotter alerts for 25 rounds fired.
When first responders arrived, they discovered a woman with a graze wound on her leg at the intersection of North Lang Avenue and Forrest Way.
Bullets also struck many vehicles in the area.
Medics took the woman with the graze wound to a local hospital, where she was described as stable. A second woman was also admitted to the hospital for treatment of a dislocated knee.
According to preliminary information from the site, a quarrel occurred prior to the incident.
The Pittsburgh mobile crime team arrived at the scene to process evidence. Officers are currently evaluating all security footage from the area as part of their investigation.
The search for the shooter is underway.
