Two people were injured in Effingham County when their ATV overturned in an accident over the weekend.
According to the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred on Walnut Road in Watson. Officials stated the ATV was moving in a circular manner when it toppled over and came to a stop upside down.
The vehicle carried two people: the 19-year-old driver and a 23-year-old passenger. Both were wearing seat belts and were not ejected from the ATV.
Both were rushed to the hospital with “non-incapacitating injuries,” according to the Sheriff’s Office.
