Man from Tennessee Arrested in Indiana After Taking Child from Mother

CLARKSVILLE, Ind. — Police arrested a Tennessee man after he allegedly kidnapped a four-year-old child and took them to southern Indiana.

On Wednesday, the Clarksville Police Department said the Hendersonville Police Department in Tennessee contacted them Tuesday about a child who had been taken from their mother without permission.

Authorities identified the father as 23-year-old Skyler Clubb. He refused to return the child, prompting officials to issue a warrant for his arrest. Officers later found the child safe and arrested Clubb on a felony kidnapping charge.

The Jeffersonville and Sellersburg Police Departments helped Clarksville officers locate the child and take Clubb into custody.

“This is one of those cases where we have to act quickly,” Clarksville Police Chief Nate Walls said in a statement. “Our officers did an outstanding job locating this individual and getting him into custody while simultaneously keeping the child safe.”
