1 arrested, 1 still wanted after robbery outside Murfreesboro credit union

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Authorities have taken one man into custody while continuing to search for another suspect several days after a robbery involving a Loomis armored truck outside a Murfreesboro credit union, officials announced Thursday.

According to the Murfreesboro Police Department, the incident occurred on Wednesday, April 8, outside the Ascend Federal Credit Union on West Clark Boulevard.

A preliminary investigation indicates that 37-year-old Drew Edward Sisco, of Nashville, and another suspect approached a Loomis armored truck outside the credit union, assaulted an employee, and then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

MPD officers later spotted the getaway vehicle—a 2018 Nissan Armada—near Old Fort Parkway. Police said the driver sped off, leading authorities on a pursuit along I-24 and I-840 before exiting onto Northwest Broad Street toward Smyrna.

According to MPD, officers lost sight of the SUV after it turned onto George Franklin Boulevard, and investigators later determined that the suspect had changed the vehicle’s license plate.

After coordinating with crime data analysts, who reportedly used license plate reader technology to track the SUV following the robbery, law enforcement located the vehicle and identified Sisco as a suspect.

Authorities took Sisco into custody on Thursday, April 9, in Nashville after a joint effort between MPD detectives and the Metro Nashville Police Department. He remains in custody at the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center on a $300,000 bond.

On Thursday, April 16, one week after Sisco’s arrest, authorities announced they are still searching for a second suspect involved in the robbery.

Officials did not release a description of the second suspect. Anyone with additional information is asked to contact Detective William Pullias at 629-201-5640.
