Jet fuel truck overturns at Louisville airport

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – A truck carrying jet fuel overturned Tuesday afternoon at Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport.

Airport officials said SDF Public Safety and the Airport Operations Department were alerted around 3 p.m. after an Atlantic Aviation fuel truck flipped along the airfield’s east perimeter road.

Louisville Fire Department Hazmat crews responded due to the presence of jet fuel.

The airport’s East Runway has been temporarily closed for landings, while the West Runway and Crosswind Runway remain open. Officials said there are no expected impacts to flight operations.

The condition of the driver has not been released.
