LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
A Louisville man accused of killing a man and a dog appeared in court again on Monday.

Charles Gerlach Jr. faces multiple charges, including murder, torture of a dog, and abuse of a corpse.

Police said they discovered the victim’s body along with a dead dog stuffed inside a closet in an Old Louisville apartment.

On Monday, the judge set a bond hearing for later this month.

Gerlach remains in custody on a $1 million bond.
