Police are investigating the fatal shooting of Terry Michael Tidwell, 42, in Louisville’s Portland neighborhood and are asking the public for help identifying any suspects.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Authorities have identified a man who was shot and killed in Louisville’s Portland neighborhood.

Terry Michael Tidwell, 42, died from a gunshot wound.

Louisville Metro Police responded to the 2900 block of Rowan Street around 1:20 a.m. on March 3.

Officers found Tidwell outside the location with a gunshot wound, and despite life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are still working to determine what led to the shooting and have not identified any suspects.

Investigators are asking anyone in the area who may have seen something or has cell phone or surveillance video to contact the Anonymous Tip Line at (502) 574-LMPD or submit information through the online Tip Portal.
