One Louisville restaurant inspected between Feb. 23 and March 1 received a “C” rating due to a critical violation.

Restaurants in Jefferson County are graded on a 100-point scale. A score of 85 or higher with no critical violations earns an “A.” A score of 84 or lower, or the presence of one or more critical violations regardless of the score, results in a “C.”

According to Louisville Metro Public Health and Wellness, a “B” rating is issued to facilities with ongoing compliance problems, such as two consecutive failed inspections or closures caused by an imminent health hazard.

Restaurants that receive a “C” and fail the inspection will be re-inspected by the Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness within seven to 10 days.
