LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) — Louisville is grieving the loss of Paul Tadatada, a dedicated advocate in the fight against hunger across Metro Louisville.
Tadatada served as Coordinator of the Daily Lunch Program for the Sandefur Dining Room, located behind the Cathedral of the Assumption. He died unexpectedly on Monday, February 23.
Paul spent many years in Louisville championing the Feed My Neighbor program and serving hearty meals to those who needed them most. Drawing on his experience as a district manager at Wendy’s, he successfully organized and coordinated meals for anyone who came through the doors, no questions asked.
“For many in downtown Louisville, Paul was a gentle giant, a quiet, steadfast presence whose work restored dignity, hope, and human connection to the most vulnerable members of our community. His absence will be deeply felt in the dining room he guided so faithfully, and in the lives of every person who experienced his care,” a release from the organization states.
Feed My Neighbor operates as a long-standing outreach of the Cathedral of the Assumption, providing nourishing meals every day of the year to people in need. The program traces its roots back to the Great Depression.
Funeral arrangements are pending.
