LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Louisville Metro Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) has issued an Emergency Suspension Order following a months-long investigation into a liquor store accused of trafficking narcotics.

ABC investigators, working alongside LMPD, executed a search warrant Thursday, Feb. 19, at Mr. Silks Party Store on West Muhammad Ali Boulevard.

According to an ABC statement, authorities served the warrant as part of an extended investigation into suspected drug activity at the business.

Investigators also identified additional violations of Kentucky alcoholic beverage control laws, including open alcohol consumption in and around the property without proper licensing.

ABC officials determined the store posed an immediate risk to the community and issued an Emergency Suspension Order. As a result, alcohol sales and on-site consumption are prohibited until further notice.
