A house fire in the Wilder Park neighborhood displaced five people on Thursday.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – According to the Louisville Fire Department, a house fire in the Wilder Park neighborhood forced five people from their home on Thursday.

First responders arrived around 2:42 p.m. after receiving a call about a residential fire in the 4400 block of South 1st Street on Thursday, Feb. 19.

When crews reached the scene, they found a single-family home with flames visible from a rear first-floor window.

By 2:55 p.m., firefighters had contained the blaze to the room where it began, though smoke damage extended to the second floor.

LFD reported no injuries in the incident; however, the five residents were displaced as a result of the fire.
