Officers investigating the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie were seen leaving her Arizona home Saturday night carrying several brown bags.

The contents of the bags were not disclosed as authorities prepare to enter the eighth day of their search.

The 84-year-old mother of Savannah Guthrie was abducted from her $1 million Tucson home in the early hours of February 1. Officials have confirmed that no suspects have been identified so far in the case.

The development comes after KGUN 9 reported that a ransom note threatens Nancy’s life if her family does not pay $6 million in Bitcoin by Monday at 5 p.m. local time.

Police believe Nancy is still alive. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos told reporters Friday night, “What I believe is that Nancy was removed from her home against her will, and that we need to find her. That’s what I believe. She’s still alive.”

Authorities have cordoned off the home as the investigation intensifies. Recent footage shows officers using a pole to inspect a manhole located behind the property.
