Kentucky State Police are focusing on safety during Super Bowl gatherings through Operation C.A.R.E., encouraging drivers to plan sober rides home to help prevent traffic incidents.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Kentucky State Police are reminding drivers to prioritize safety while attending Super Bowl parties.
The agency’s Operation C.A.R.E., or Crash Awareness and Reduction Effort, aims to cut down on traffic-related injuries and fatalities through enforcement and education.
KSP encourages the public to plan transportation home before kickoff by choosing a designated sober driver, using a ride service, or staying with friends.
“Let’s make sure the celebration ends with smiles, not crashes,” the agency said in a social media post.
Data from the Kentucky Office of Highway Safety shows 612 highway fatalities in 2025, the lowest total in the past 15 years.
So far in 2026, there have been 26 fatalities.
