KENTUCKY (FOX 56) — The family of a missing Ohio woman has launched a GoFundMe campaign in hopes of finding answers nearly a year after her disappearance.
According to the Brown County Sheriff’s Office in Ohio, 46-year-old Amie Gale Owens was last seen on March 30, 2025, on Goshen Road in Goshen.
Owens was last in contact with her daughter when she said she was with a male friend in Kentucky, though no specific location was mentioned, according to the GoFundMe page.
Her family said the absence of information has been devastating.
“Amie is an incredibly family-oriented person who always maintained contact with family. She never missed a birthday, holiday, or special occasion with her children,” the family wrote on the GoFundMe page. “She is the loving mother of three children and the proud grandmother of five grandchildren who adore her. They are desperately waiting to see her again.”
Investigators described Owens as a white female standing 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing about 125 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.
The family aims to raise at least $5,500 to help cover search-related expenses, including hiring a private investigator and possibly offering a reward for credible tips or information.
“We are committed to using every resource available to bring Amie home,” the family said.
Anyone with information about Owens’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Brown County Sheriff’s Office at (937) 378-4435, extension 126.
