LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Louisville is preparing to welcome a new bar and music venue.
Gig Louisville is expected to open by early March at 1017 E. Broadway, near Barrett Avenue and the Paristown Pointe neighborhood, according to Louisville Business First.
The venue’s managing partner said the space aims to feature a mix of emerging local artists and established performers across a wide range of genres.
“I’ve been focusing on ways we can adapt to different audiences and different types of music,” said managing partner Lisa Norkus. “I want to be very adaptable so we can have any type of entertainment up here.”
Gig Louisville will have a capacity of 288 people. The space will be divided between a live music venue and a bar area featuring a jukebox. The building was previously home to Skull Alley and Uncle Slayton’s.
Louisville Business First also reported that Dan Borsch, co-owner of Hillcrest Tavern and Burger Girl, is a co-owner of Gig Louisville.
The venue plans to be open Tuesday through Sunday and will serve snacks, though the final menu is still being developed.
