LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man died at the hospital after being shot Monday night in Louisville’s Shawnee neighborhood, police said.
Louisville Metro Police responded to a reported shooting at a home in the 600 block of Louis Coleman Jr. Drive around 9:30 p.m., according to department spokesperson Aaron Ellis.
When officers arrived, they found a man inside the home suffering from a gunshot wound. Ellis said officers provided aid until emergency medical services arrived.
The man was transported to University of Louisville Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The Louisville Metro Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating the case. Investigators said they believe they have accounted for “all parties” involved.
Police did not say whether anyone has been or will be charged.
