KENTUCKY — More than 30,000 homes and businesses across Kentucky were still without power as of Monday evening following a snow and ice storm, according to the latest outage data.

Across the state, 30,150 customers remain without electricity, representing 1.22% of the 2,473,846 utility customers being tracked. Kentucky currently ranks fifth in the nation for the total number of power outages and fourth for the percentage of customers affected.

The most significant outages are concentrated in Allen County, where 5,087 customers remain without power. That figure accounts for 33.57% of all utility customers in the county, making it the hardest-hit area in the state.

Utility crews continue restoration efforts, though icy roads, fallen trees, and damaged power lines are slowing progress. Among the 42 utilities tracked statewide, Tri-County Electric Membership Corporation is reporting the highest number of outages, with 12,920 customers still without service.

By percentage, Tri-County EMC is also the most affected utility, with 30.82% of its customers remaining without power as repairs continue.

Officials are urging residents to stay cautious, avoid downed power lines, and follow heating and generator safety guidelines while restoration work remains underway.
