LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Louisville Metro Police will continue using the state’s online reporting system for crashes that do not involve injuries.
In an update, LMPD said they have not responded to any injury-related collisions so far on Sunday. Officers thanked the public for following guidance and staying off the roads.
When police and MetroSafe move to this reporting method, they stop responding to calls involving non-injury crashes.
Drivers involved in crashes without injuries should exchange information and fill out a civilian accident report.
People are advised not to call 911 for these incidents, as LMPD is not responding to non-injury crashes.
LMPD’s strongest advice remains the same: avoid traveling until the storm moves out.
The winter storm is expected to clear by this evening, followed by cold temperatures. Crews continue working to clear roadways.
