A man was injured in a shooting early Thursday morning in Louisville’s Portland neighborhood.
According to Louisville Metro Police Department spokesman Dwight Mitchell, the victim approached officers around 12:15 a.m. on Crop Street and told them he had been shot.
The man was taken to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds and was taken directly into surgery. Police said he is expected to survive.
As of the latest update, no suspects have been identified.
LMPD is asking anyone with information about the shooting to contact the department’s anonymous tip line at 502-574-LMPD (5673). Tips can also be submitted through LMPD’s Crime Tip Portal.
