A child was injured in a shooting late Thursday night in Louisville’s Pleasure Ridge Park neighborhood. Authorities say the child is expected to survive.

Louisville Metro Police Department officers responded just after 9:30 p.m. to a reported shooting in the 6500 block of Don Bon Court.

Officers from LMPD’s 3rd Division, along with PRP Fire and EMS, arrived at the scene and transported the child to Norton Children’s Hospital Downtown for treatment.

LMPD’s Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is handling the investigation.
