Louisville police are asking for the public’s help to identify a man accused of stealing more than $1,500 worth of merchandise from a Best Buy in the city’s south end.
According to investigators, the theft occurred around 8:15 p.m. on Jan. 12 at the Best Buy located in the 4200 block of Outer Loop. Police said the suspect entered the store and left without paying for the items.
Detectives with the Louisville Metro Police Department’s 7th Division shared surveillance video on the department’s Facebook page showing the suspect walking with a noticeable limp and favoring his right leg.
Police believe the man may be connected to similar thefts at other businesses.
Investigators said the suspect left the area in a white passenger vehicle, though the make and model have not been identified. Authorities hope someone will recognize the man from the surveillance footage.
Anyone with information is urged to contact LMPD’s anonymous tip line at 502-574-LMPD (5673) or submit a tip through the department’s online Crime Tip Portal. Police noted that additional surveillance videos are available as part of the investigation.
