LMPD investigating death in downtown Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville Metro Police are investigating a death in downtown Louisville.

Officers responded around 6:30 a.m. Friday to the area of South Brook Street and East Gray Street near Norton Hospital after reports of a person down. EMS pronounced the individual dead at the scene.

LMPD’s Homicide Unit is leading the investigation. Police have not released details about the victim or the circumstances surrounding the death. An autopsy is scheduled for Saturday.
