Man Charged in Connection with November Homicide in Parkland Neighborhood

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) — A man has been charged in connection with a homicide that occurred in the Parkland neighborhood last November.

On Nov. 26, 2025, Louisville Metro Police responded to a shooting in the 1000 block of South 29th Street that left one person dead.

On Jan. 15, 2026, LMPD announced that 22-year-old Ryan Simms had been taken into custody in connection with the case. Simms faces charges of murder and receiving a stolen firearm.

The Homicide Unit with LMPD says the investigation is ongoing.
