Louisville man shot in Southside neighborhood; LMPD searches for answers

Louisville police say a shooting in a Southside neighborhood left a man with a gunshot wound to the leg.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville Metro Police Fourth Division officers responded to a reported shooting around 4:50 p.m. Monday at the intersection of E. Kingston Avenue and Teresa Place.

When officers arrived, they found a man outside who had been shot in the leg.

Police rendered aid until EMS arrived and transported the victim to the University of Louisville Hospital. His injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.

LMPD’s non-fatal shooting unit is investigating the incident and working to determine a motive.

No suspects have been identified at this time.
