LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Louisville police are investigating after a man was shot and killed near Valley Station on Thursday evening.
According to a statement from Louisville Metro Police spokesperson Aaron Ellis, officers responded to a reported shooting in the 6600 block of Skyline Drive just before 6:30 p.m. The location sits off Ashby Lane, not far from Valley Station Road.
When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot. EMS pronounced him dead at the scene, Ellis said.
LMPD’s Homicide Unit is leading the investigation. Ellis said investigators believe all parties involved are accounted for.
Authorities have not said whether anyone has been charged in connection with the shooting.
