Strong storms tore through Kentuckiana overnight, unleashing damaging winds, heavy rain and reports of tornadoes in several communities.
The severe weather swept through the region late Wednesday into early Thursday, with at least two radar-confirmed tornadoes striking parts of southern Indiana.
Jackson County, Indiana, emerged as one of the hardest-hit areas, with reports of tornado damage surfacing after storms moved through overnight.
The National Weather Service issued several watches and warnings across portions of Kentucky and Indiana, citing threats of possible tornadoes, damaging winds with gusts up to 75 mph, and isolated hail.
The National Weather Service is expected to conduct storm surveys to determine whether tornadoes touched down and, if so, how strong they were.
