The Louisville Metro Police Department recovered over 40 stolen weapons, according to a department post on Tuesday.
After a burglary, LMPD’s Third Division and SWAT executed search warrants to locate the stolen firearms, as alleged by the victim.
Within 48 hours following the report, 48 firearms had been recovered.
Officials stated that the aim was to recover the guns before they were dispersed and used to harm the population.
More arrests are expected as detectives attempt to identify additional individuals involved. Police have stated that additional charges would be added as the investigation progresses.
