KENTUCKY — The Glasgow Police Department announced it will carry out traffic safety checkpoints across the city from March 6 through March 31.
The department said officers will set up checkpoints at several locations, including Columbia Avenue, West Main Street, North Jackson Highway and Happy Valley Road.
Throughout the enforcement period, officers will target violations involving driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, proper driver and vehicle licensing, registration and insurance compliance, seat belt and child restraint requirements, and motor vehicle equipment violations.
Police said law enforcement agencies across Kentucky commonly use traffic safety checkpoints to improve roadway safety and ensure drivers follow state laws.
