Kentucky Woman Injured in Shooting While Driving in Louisville

KENTUCKY — A woman was hospitalized early Monday after someone shot her while she was driving in Louisville’s Shawnee neighborhood, police said.

The Louisville Metro Police Department reported that the woman arrived at UofL Hospital in a private vehicle just before 1 a.m. with a gunshot wound to her wrist.

Investigators said the woman told detectives she was driving near 38th and West Market streets when the shooting happened.

Police said she is expected to survive.

LMPD’s Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is leading the investigation. Authorities have not identified any suspects, and officers have not made any arrests.
