Louisville Metro Police have arrested a man accused of assaulting employees at a fast-food restaurant.

Jaylen L. Brown, 23, of Louisville, is charged with assault, wanton endangerment, and terroristic threatening.

According to the arrest citation, Brown was in the drive-thru at the McDonald’s located at 6214 Shepherdsville Road at about 2:25 a.m. on December 30, 2025. Police said he became upset when his order was taking too long. After an employee closed the window, Brown reportedly got out of his car, forced the window open, reached inside, and put his fingers in the employee’s face.

Brown then pulled his vehicle forward and stopped. Surveillance video shows him getting out of the car and attempting to enter the restaurant through locked doors. In the video, Brown appears to be armed with a gun.

Police said Brown returned to the drive-thru window, forced it open again, and pointed the gun at the employee, placing it close to her face. The employee suffered a cut below her bottom lip.

The employee told officers that Brown threatened to “shoot up the place” before driving away.

Brown was arrested on January 8, 2026, at GE in the 4000 block of Buechel Bank Road. During his arraignment on January 9, a not guilty plea was entered, and a public defender was appointed to represent him.

Bond was set at $25,000 cash. If bond is posted, Brown will be placed on the home incarceration program. He was also ordered to have no contact with any McDonald’s locations or McDonald’s employees.

Brown is scheduled to return to court on January 20 for a preliminary hearing.
