LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Louisville police have released images of a man wanted in connection with the 2022 shooting death of a 42-year-old man in the Shelby Park neighborhood.

Surveillance footage captured a man running near the scene just before 10 a.m. on March 1, 2022. Officers were called to a home on Clay Street, near Camp Street, where they found the victim, Nicholas Clay, shot. He was transported to the hospital and pronounced dead shortly thereafter. Police said Clay lived in the area but that the shooting appeared to be random.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Louisville Metro Police said investigators want to speak with the man in the surveillance images “to see what, if any, involvement he may be associated with regarding our open homicide investigation.”
