KENTUCKY — A Somerset man has been charged with murder after an early morning shooting left another man dead, authorities reported.

James Gleason, 40, was arrested in connection with the death of Adam Roark, 39, both residents of Somerset, according to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies responded to a shooting on Dogwood Lane around 12:35 a.m. Wednesday.

Officers found Roark in the driveway with multiple gunshot wounds. A 911 caller was at the scene attempting to apply pressure to his injuries. Somerset/Pulaski County EMS arrived, but Roark was pronounced dead at the scene.

Gleason was located outside his home, detained, and later charged with murder and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. He is being held at the Pulaski County Detention Center on a $1 million bond.
