Florida Woman On The Run For Child Support Apprehended Outside Lakeland Store On Multiple Drug Charges

Polk County deputies apprehended a 38-year-old Melbourne woman at a convenience store north of Lakeland on Sunday morning after receiving a tip. According to authorities, she offered a false name before admitting to an outstanding warrant and carrying various illegal substances.

Deputies from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office received a report about 7:30 a.m. that Tracy Nicole Truini was at a business on Old Kathleen Road with an active arrest warrant.

When a deputy arrived, she noticed a woman getting up and walking away from the scene. The deputy stopped her and requested identification.

The woman stated she didn’t have any identification and told the officer her name. Investigators quickly discovered that the name she provided was bogus.

Shortly later, the woman revealed her true identity: Tracy Truini. According to deputies, she admitted to knowing she had an active warrant for failing to pay child support.

Deputies arrested Truini. A later search revealed that she was carrying cocaine, methamphetamine, and prescription tablets for someone else, as well as drug paraphernalia.

Truini was booked into the Sheriff’s Processing Center on an outstanding child support warrant. She is now facing additional accusations for cocaine, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, resisting an officer, providing a false identification to law enforcement, and possessing another person’s prescription medicines.
