Fort Bend County authorities have arrested a suspect following an investigation into a series of late-night break-ins at area businesses.
Nasar Bodie, 20, was detained on Wednesday and charged with burglary of a building and escaping arrest with a motor vehicle for his suspected involvement in many break-ins.
Detectives from the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office Burglary & Theft Unit began investigating a pattern of burglaries that began in mid-August 2026. In each case, a single culprit smashed through glass front doors and ransacked business registers.
After conducting a comprehensive investigation, reviewing security footage and collaborating with the Houston Police Department and the Sugar Land Police Department, investigators identified Bodie as the suspect.
He was hauled into arrest on active warrants. His bonds totaled $170,000.
