Kissimmee police have apprehended a suspect in the shooting of a 15-year-old in Central Florida.
The Kissimmee Police Department reported that the incident occurred in the 1300 block of Oak Haven Drive. Local officers came to the scene in response to reports of a person being shot.
When authorities arrived, they discovered a 15-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the left arm. Paramedics brought the victim to Arnold Palmer Hospital.
According to local law enforcement, investigators identified Yosber Capriles Barrios as the shooter after working along with responding patrol officers and detectives. Barrios was taken into arrest and transferred to the Osceola County Jail.
According to local law enforcement, Yosber Capriles Barrios has been charged with three charges of Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon. After discovering that Barrios was in the country illegally, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) issued him an immigration detainer.

Their actions represent the commitment they provide to our community every day.”
