Minnesota man arrested in stolen vehicle at gas station in Clermont

A Minnesota man was arrested after being stopped in a stolen vehicle at a Rebel gas station.

Around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, dispatchers notified officers to a stolen silver Subaru hatchback at the intersection of State Road 50 and Magnolia Pointe Boulevard, according to a Clermont Police Department arrest report. Mr. King Anthony Wade, 20, was driving westbound on State Road 50.

Before beginning their search, police confirmed that the vehicle had been reported stolen from St. Cloud that day. An officer observed the car in the left-turn lane heading eastbound on State Road 50 from County Road 455. According to the report, after the light turned green, police enforcement halted the vehicle at the Rebel petrol station, located at 16500 SR 50.

Wade was then removed from the vehicle and arrested for grand theft auto. He was booked into the Lake County Jail and bond was set at $2,500.
