The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) announced an investigation after four people were injured in a shooting in Northeast Friday afternoon.
Officers responded to the 6200 block of Dix St. NE around 1:40 p.m. and discovered four men with gunshot wounds. One of the men was unconscious and stopped breathing. Medics flew him to the hospital.
According to MPD, the other men were conscious when medics took them in for treatment.
At 4:46 p.m., the police department reported that one man had died.
Police said they were seeking for a silver Honda Accord that was in the vicinity at the time of the shooting, but as of late Friday afternoon, detectives had no further information regarding the automobile or the person or people involved.
