Two young men and a teen boy were shot and wounded early Monday in Chicago’s Park Manor community.
At 2:20 a.m., officers discovered two male victims who had been shot in the 6600 block of South Hartwell Avenue. Hartwell Avenue is a minor route that connects Michigan and Indiana Avenues in that location.
A 19-year-old man was wounded in the right forearm but was said to be in good health, while a 21-year-old man had multiple gunshot wounds to the torso and was in fair condition.
Both victims were transferred to the University of Chicago Medical Center, but neither would provide police with information about what led up to the shooting.
Later Monday morning, a 15-year-old boy arrived at the University of Chicago’s Comer Children’s Hospital with a bullet wound to his wrist from the same shooting. He was in good shape.
Police claimed two weapons were recovered at the scene.
On Monday morning, Wentworth Area detectives were conducting an investigation.
