Motorcyclists Apprehended After Fleeing Traffic Stop In Central Florida

Motorcyclists were apprehended after fleeing a traffic stop in Central Florida.

The two motorcyclists discovered that fleeing Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies is not a successful strategy.

According to local law officials, the two motorcyclists fled a traffic stop in Brandon. Deputies were able to safely track both riders from above while they attempted to elude law enforcement, thanks to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office Aviation Unit.

One rider, 30-year-old Christopher Cruzcolon, abandoned his motorcycle and fled through a storage facility before being apprehended.

Megan Lynne Bateman, 35, the second rider, continued to flee until a train stopped her. According to law enforcement video, Bateman then ran down nearby railroad tracks before falling into bushes, where authorities apprehended her.

Both suspects were arrested.
