Three people were discovered dead Friday inside an apartment on Chicago’s Southwest Side, prompting police to launch a death investigation.
Around 11 a.m., officers responded to the 3300 block of West Marquette Road, near Marquette Park and Chicago Lawn, according to CPD.
Three victims, two males and one female, whose exact ages were unknown, were discovered inside an apartment. They were pronounced dead on the scene.
The victims’ names have not been released.
The bodies were discovered in a third-floor unit in a three-story apartment complex, according to ABC7.
People who live in the building believe the three people died at least a few days ago, citing a scent coming from the third level.
There was no further information provided as Chicago police continued to investigate.
