Pittsburgh police are investigating after a man reported being attacked and robbed outside a bar following the Pirates’ 10-inning loss Friday night.
Grayson Jr.’s family stated he got into a confrontation with another patron at McFadden’s on North Shore Drive after mistakenly spilling some of his drink on the other patron.
Grayson’s father stated that their verbal quarrel escalated into a two-on-five physical fight outside the bar after Grayson left.
“We have no idea who they are right now, which is why we’re reaching out to the public for help,” Rev. Phillip Grayson Sr said.
A witness to the incident told WPXI that both sides were aggressors at some time.
Grayson remained in the intensive care unit on Monday afternoon, suffering from six facial fractures, fractured ribs, and other injuries. He informed detectives that the men he was fighting stole his wallet and shoes.
Investigators wouldn’t say how much progress they made over the weekend or release any suspect images.
Grayson, Sr said he hoped detectives could identify the other males using the bar’s security system.
“Turn yourself in because we’re not going to stop until we find you,” he said.
