A crash along Route 65 in Avalon on Friday killed one person and injured two others, including a child.
Allegheny County police said 911 was called about a crash in the 1000 block of Ohio River Boulevard about 12:34 p.m.
First responders arrived to find two vehicles and three people involved.
According to preliminary information, one of the automobiles was driven by a man, while the other was driven by a woman and included a four-year-old girl.
All three were sent to the hospital. The man was pronounced deceased, and the others were last listed in stable condition.
The man was recognized by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office on Friday night as Paul Joseph Czambel, 71, of Oakdale.

Route 65 was closed in the region following the incident, however it has since reopened.
