A Vancouver woman was taken into custody Friday after deputies claimed she smashed into another vehicle after an alleged road rage incident, then led officers on a chase before being apprehended with the assistance of a police K-9.
According to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a reported road rage incident near Northeast 72nd Way and Northeast 154th Avenue in Vancouver, Washington, about 10:37 a.m.
Investigators claimed Elisabeth Gordon, 51, was driving a white GMC Yukon when she reportedly rear-ended the victim’s vehicle during the incident.
Deputies later found Gordon driving between Northeast 137th Avenue and Northeast Padden Parkway. When deputies attempted to stop the vehicle, Gordon allegedly fled.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies used a Grappler device to stop the SUV near Northeast Centerpointe Drive and Northeast Andresen Road.
After the vehicle came to a stop, Gordon allegedly ignored officers’ commands and was apprehended with the help of a police K-9. She was booked into the Clark County Jail on charges of second-degree assault, attempting to evade, hit-and-run, and resisting arrest.
No other information has been shared.
