A 17-year-old boy was shot seven times while sitting in a vehicle on Chicago’s West Side Friday afternoon and is in critical condition, according to authorities.
The gunshot occurred around 4:53 p.m. in the 3800 block of West Madison Street.
According to Chicago police, the 17-year-old was sitting in a vehicle when two suspects approached and fired several shots at him.
The adolescent was struck seven times in the upper body before taking himself to Stroger Hospital, where he was classified in critical condition.
The suspects ran in an unknown direction. There have been no arrests, and detectives are investigating.
